Perú by Day featuring Paulo Santos

Paulo Santos is a freelance saxophone/woodwind player born and raised in Austin. From a very musical family, Paulo is a sought after horn player in the Austin music scene, playing the likes of jazz, funk, RnB/Soul, Brazilian music, and more.

Paulo is currently pursuing a Jazz Saxophone degree from the University of Texas at Austin where he is a 3rd year student. In addition to studying and playing the saxophone, Paulo is also an avid composer, writing small group music for the UT ensemble AIME, as well as large ensemble music for the UT and NOW Jazz Orchestras.

Since the start of Paulo’s musical experience in Austin, he has had the opportunity to perform with many well-renowned musicians from around the country, such as Randy Brecker, Joe Lovano, Michael Dease, Andre Hayward, Francis “Rocco” Prestia (Tower of Power), Ray Greene (TOP), among others.
